Enter Text

Touch the text input box when you want to enter text. Your phone will then automatically bring up the keyboard.

By default, the keyboard uses the PinyinT9 layout. Touch the letter buttons for text suggestions to appear in the predictive text bar that you can choose from.

Press and hold a letter key and then swipe up to enter a number, or swipe left or right to enter a letter.

To switch to the PinyinT26 layout, touch and hold the 中/英 key in the lower left corner and select PinyinT26.

How the keys work may vary depending on the HONOR IME skin. To experience all of the key functions, switch to the default skin.

Change the Keyboard Layout or Input Type

You can change the keyboard layout or input type using either of the following methods:

• Touch and hold the 中/英 button in the lower left corner to choose a keyboard layout such as PinyinT26 or PinyinT9, or an input type such as Writing or Wubi.

• Go to > Input type, and choose a keyboard layout such as PinyinT26 or PinyinT9, or an input type such as Writing or Wubi.

Use Handwriting to Input Text

1. Go to > Input type, and touch Writing.

2. Write what you want to input in the writing pad, and touch a character or phrase from the suggestions bar above.

3. You can also touch to use the full screen as the writing pad or exit full-screen writing.

Switch to Another Input Language

Touch and hold the 中/英 button in the lower left corner and select a language from the menu that displays.

You can also touch More languages, then follow the onscreen instructions to download and select the language you need. Your phone keyboard will prompt you to switch to the newly selected language the next time you use it.

Use voice typing

This feature requires an Internet connection. Connect to a WLAN network to avoid incurring unnecessary data charges.

Say the words to type them, your phone will convert the content into text automatically, or translate it into another language.

1. Touch and hold the space key to open the voice input interface.

2. Tap , choose the language of the input or the language to translate to.

3. Tap , start talking into the microphone.

4. Tap 返回 to close voice input.

Enable SMS Verification Code Autofill

Once allowed, HONOR IME can automatically enter SMS verification codes for you.

When you use HONOR IME in Messages for the first time, your phone will prompt you to enable SMS verification code autofill. Go to Next > Allow to enable this feature.

If you chose to set up this feature later, you can go to > Settings > Keyboard interface > Auto Fill .

When you receive an SMS verification code, HONOR IME will automatically detect the code and show it to you. Simply select it to fill it in.

This feature may not work with SMS verification codes from certain apps.

Change the Keyboard Theme

You can change how your keyboard looks.

Simply change the keyboard theme to adjust the visuals, layout, and shortcuts to your liking.

Go to > Skin, then pick a theme to download and apply.

Set the Touch Tone for the Input Method

Go to > Settings > Keyboard interface > Feedback , and then set the related configurations as prompted. For example, you can adjust the volume of the touch tone.

Enable Handwriting Keyboard

Use the handwriting input directly in the keyboard area or outside the keyboard.

Tap > Settings > Input > Handwriting on Keyboard settings and select Internal keyboard to start, External keyboard to start or Close Handwriting based on your usage habit.
